Home Elevator Brands and Prices

Home elevator brands side by side: the models each one sells in the United States and the price each publishes or quotes.

Prices range widely among home elevator brands in the United States. The lowest list price we found is $15,999 for an AmeriGlide platform lift, before installation. At the top end, cost guides estimate the largest vacuum model, the PVE52, at up to $100,000. Most home elevators cost about $30,000 to $50,000 installed. Simpler platform lifts and some shaftless models cost less.

A list price covers the equipment only, delivered; dealer quotes and ranges include installation. Each brand's price links to its source in the text on this page.

AmeriGlide

AmeriGlide posts its list prices on its website. Just remember a list price pays for the machine itself, not the work of putting it in.

Warranty coverage differs from one product to the next. The Affinity, for example, carries 12 months. AmeriGlide's LULA elevator lists at $49,999 for the equipment alone, and LULA is short for "limited use, limited application."

Stiltz

Stiltz makes through-floor lifts. Dealers price the Duo Alta between $27,000 and $29,000, with one dealer advertising a starting point of $25,000. The Trio Alta begins at $29,000.

Cost guides peg the standard Duo between $20,000 and $25,000, with the Trio running $30,000 to $35,000. Some guides place every Stiltz model between $20,000 and $45,000. Stiltz backs its lifts with a 24 month parts warranty.

Savaria

Savaria says its products run from $30,000 to $100,000. A dealer quotes $30,000 to $35,000 for the Telecab 17, and Savaria gives a $30,000 to $40,000 range for the Luma.

The Vuelift is a glass elevator with a self-supporting hoistway. Dealers quote it starting at $80,000 to $85,000, depending on the dealer. For the Eclipse and Infinity, Savaria covers defective parts for 36 months through a dealer, though keeping up with routine maintenance stays part of the deal.

Pneumatic Vacuum Elevators

PVE makes pneumatic home elevators. Published estimates vary substantially by model. Cost guides estimate the PVE30 at $35,000 to $50,000, the PVE37 at $50,000 to $75,000, and the PVE52 at $75,000 to $100,000.

One dealer says PVE models start at about $40,000, and the PVE Level Up starts at about $50,000. The manufacturer's own figure for a two floor install is from $45,000, and the warranty is limited to a single year.

Other Brands Worth Knowing

Nationwide Lifts sells the Freedom Green cable elevator for $20,000 to $30,000, and its 2015 planning guide lists a 10-year mechanical warranty. Bruno's Connect line begins at $35,000.

Cost guides also mention Easy Climber ($12,000 to $16,000), Crystal ($30,000 to $40,000), and Stratus, which generally runs between $32,000 and $45,000.

What Else Changes the Price?

Going to a third floor or higher costs $9,000 to $15,000 per floor added. If your existing house needs a new shaft, building one can add $5,000 to $25,000.

Since list prices leave out installation, your real total will run above the AmeriGlide list prices. For the figure that fits your home, ask a local dealer for a written quote.
